Spotify devices (the one in app you can chose device playback etc) is only on 10m, how can that be c

I sit at my desk listening to music on my stereo, the stereo is 10+ years old and doesn't have any wifi or anything so I have connected an old phone on permacharge an spotify always on.

A problem is that after approx. 10 min I can't change songs anymore, I need to stand up, go there and change it. Which is annoying. A small problem. But still annoying.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can make it always susceptible to my changes 3m away, regardless if it is 3m or 3h since I last touched the stereo phone?

This issue is commonly related to some damaged cache stored on the old phone or to an outdated version of the app. In this case, to cover both scenarios, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on the old phone by following the steps in this article.

Also, if the old phone has any SD card inserted, we'd also suggest removing it as it can affect the proper behavior of the app.

If the issue persists after this, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your old device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
