Spotify plays music displayed in queue list instead of my filter option, problem exists

in both my macos and ios, i like to play my music some times filtered by recently added the playlist filters the list correctly but the queue is bugged i think, the queue list doesn't match the playlist it feels like its playing in shuffle while shuffle is off.

things i tried:

1- clean reinstall of Spotify in macos by deleting cash files as instructed in Spotify reinstall guide

what im supposed to do in that link

Hey there @dj_calc,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community 🙂

To the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, we'd like to add some more. Can you restart the devices? Then you can log out and log back in to the account.

If that doesn't do the trick, a friend of yours can log in with their account and check if they have the same issue. That way, we can see if the issue is account-related.

One last thing, could you try adding the sorted playlist to the queue with the steps here to see if it gets added in the correct order?

Keep us posted! If you have questions, you know where to find us.

@Elena, i have restarted my devices both of them and i logged out and back in and none of my friends use spotify and even though if they use it i wouldn't bother my friends ask them to give me their credentials.

so all the music i listen to is my local music and why don't you try to replicate the problem:
1.make a playlist
2.add music to it every 2 or 3 days
3.filter it by recently added
4.turn shuffle off
and see if it will play in order or it will behave in a weird way
here is a video i made that shows the problem and i hope its clear

Hey there @dj_calc, apologies for the delayed response, we just came across your reply.

As we haven’t seen any similar posts about this recently, could you let us know if you’re still having troubles with this?

Since this happens with local files, it might be difficult for us to reproduce, as we see that you have quite the impressive collection.

We've noticed that in the video you uploaded, you've sorted your playlist by date added. Could it be that Spotify is trying to play the tracks in their original order, without any sorting applied?

If you could confirm this, we'll see what options we have.

Cheers!

I canceled my subscription and switched to a different platform already

This issue still relevant.

Custom order on mobile and laptop, newest apps. Windows and Android.

First track on each of my big lists is different on Android app, Windows app track is right. How to get order right on mobile?

Windows app order is right.

Hey @vaajy,

Thank you for joining this conversation.

The playlist order should be the same one on all devices. In this case, we'd first recommend making sure you've the correct account logged into your Android phone by logging out and back in.

If the issue persists, since it could be related to some damaged cache stored on your Android device, we'd also recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

Reinstalled and relogged, still first track on mobile random from current list.

It seems to be a bug everyone is experiencing, please check this... https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Android-First-Song-in-Playlists-on-Custom-Order-chan...
