Hi there @Lorenzo_IT
Thanks for reaching out. Strange behaviour indeed. So that we can clearly understand what exactly is happening, please send us a screen recording showcasing this. Also please provide us the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
Dear,
My phone is a Xiaomi Mi9T Pro with MIUI Global 12.5.2 (Android 11)
Spotify version is 8.8.20.544 (but also older versions were affected)
The issue affects every album.
I uploaded some pics that show the issue. In this case the album is Time Clocks by Bonamassa. As you can see, the album is composed by 10 tracks. The first time the album has been decimated and the only tracks survived are 8-9-10. The second time, instead, the survived track are from 5 to 10.
The reproduction starts to loop ever the same tracks because I set the player with "repeat album" function.
Thank you,
Lorenzo
Hey @Lorenzo_IT,
Thanks for getting back to us with this info.
Would it be possible to ask a friend or a relative to log in on your device with their account and check the same albums/playlists?
Let us know how it goes.
The same issue appears with my wife's account on her device (same phone, but different localization, mine is "global", her is "Europe").
The issue appears also with different artists or albums.
Hey @Lorenzo_IT,
Thanks for getting back to us.
We tried testing this on our end with and Android phone and we're not able to reproduce this behavior. Could you let us know if you start playing the album by clicking on the first song in the list or with the big play button on top of the album.
Does this behavior persist only with playing albums, or do you see it happening only with albums? And lastly, do you have the Shuffle option option enabled and does the album loop normally if you turn on the loop option
Keep us in the loop here!
Dear Elena,
I start playing the album by clicking on the first song.
I usually play albums, but the issue happens also with playlists.
I don't use the shuffle option, just the loop option (your image).
The issue doesn't appear during the reproduction, but when I restart Spotify, for example, the next day or after the office.
I can reproduce the actual album for hours, but sometimes happens that, after some hours from the stop of the last session, when I reprise the reproduction Spotify cancels a lot of songs from my "loop playing".
Thank you for your support,
Lorenzo
Hey @Lorenzo_IT,
Thanks for getting back to us.
We've forwarded this to the relevant team here at Spotify, however, we can't confirm when it will be addressed. In the meantime, please make sure to keep your app up to date with the latest version, so you don't miss out on any new fixes and improvements coming your way.
If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
Ok, thank you.
I'm a premium family owner and I hope to don't be forced to change the music provider.
Have a nice day,
Lorenzo
