I just logged into Spotify (linked with Facebook) after getting an internet disconnect, and I've found out that a huge majority of songs in my "liked songs" folder (the one where you click hearts) have disappeared. I've had tons of songs in there, but now I just have ones that I added like 10 days ago. What the **bleep**? I didn't remove them. I've also noticed that it happened after a Spotify update, which deleted my local files, so things like playlist sorting or UI scaling have also been reset.

Hey @dmph2,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Just to confirm, do you still experience this after a thorough reinstall of the Spotify app?
Keep us posted. We'll look out for your reply!
Hey @dmph2,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
Just to clarify, what device(s) and exact Spotify version have you experienced this with?
We'll look out for your reply and be available for anything else as well in the meantime!
Desktop, I don't know which version. I guess the newest one? I can't really tell which one it updated from, but I rarely update my Spotify because it removes my playlist sorting and such.

Hey @dmph2,
Thanks for your updates.
Glad to hear the suggestion helped 🙂
We'll be here if there's anything else we can do at any time!
Yo, I have a similar problem. I had a Spotify family subscription with my friends, but there was a problem with the bank account once, so it got canceled, and all my liked songs/playlists vanished. Please try to help me with that, and I had so many songs(((
PS: I use Spotify both on my iPhone and my Desktop. I tried thorough reinstall but it didn't help.
Hi there @closy,
Thanks for the post.
Most likely you're now logged in another Spotify account and not in your original one, since you're not seeing your songs. Spotify doesn't delete your songs and playlists if your subscription changes to the free tier, you just start receiving adverts.
In order to find your original account, you can go through the suggestions in this Support article. Hope this helps 🙂
Cheers.
Hi,
I have the same problem. I recently logged out of my spotify account on my phone as I had a problem with connecting it to the Nike Run app, however when I logged back in I noticed that loads of my liked songs were missing. I originally had over 1100 liked songs and now I have only 200. Thankfully all 1100 liked songs are still on my laptop so I haven't lost years of collecting songs, however it is only showing 200 liked songs on my phone.
This is problematic for me as I listen to spotify from my phone most of the time and not my laptop.
Please help. I have tried doing the thorough restart and it has not helped.
Chloe
Hi there @Kidge18,
Thanks for your reply in this thread.
If you don't see all of your saved content is most likely because you're logging into a different account. In this case, we'd suggest logging out and back in, making sure you use the login method you created your account with. If you used the Facebook or Google option to log in, then maybe try with your email and password, or vice versa. If you're not sure if you have more than one account, we'd suggest checking out this article.
Now, if you're completely sure you're logging in with the correct account, then it's best to perform a clean reinstall of the Spotify app by following these steps. Then log back in and check if you can't still find your music.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks for the reply,
I am pretty certain I do not have another account. I used the exact same email and password to log into my account on my laptop and all my liked songs are still on there but not on my phone despite using the same email and password. I also have never used google or facebook to log in before.
I have done the clean reinstall multiple times and still no change. The problem actually occurred after I did a clean reinstall when I was trying to connect spotify to the nike run app as it suddenly stopped working.
