Stop songs playing on daily mixes, recommended etc.

Stop songs playing on daily mixes, recommended etc.

My daughter loves frozen, Moana and other Disney songs so we use my premium account to play these for her. HOWEVER, it's infuriating when they come on recommended playlists, daily mixes, shuffles, most liked songs, on repeat playlists etc. how can I stop this?!

Hey there @Otrcpitc10,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community and welcome to the forum!

It's not ideal that your daughter uses your account from time to time as what she listens to interferes with your music taste. Depending on her age, you can either make a regular Spotify account for her, or create a Kids account which comes with the Premium Family plan. More info you can read in this article.

The Kids app comes with special tracks picked by our team, but in case the songs that your daughter listens to aren't available in Spotify Kids, you can even make a playlist from your account and share it with her. You can find the steps on how to do this under "Shared playlists" here.

If you don't prefer Premium Family and when it comes to using the same account, one workaround would be to enable private listening when your daughter is listening to these songs. When Private Session is on, any songs that are listened to won't be used to personalize playlists Made For You.

Lastly, you can check out this help article for tips on how to improve your Made for You playlists, however if your daughter continues to use your account to listen, then it's expected for you to see these and similar tracks.

Hope these details clear things up and let us know if you've got other questions 🙂
