Switch song orders in playlists

The feature would allow you to switch the order of songs, allowing you to drag or adjust a song up or down on the playlist.

Do you mean sorting and filtering in your playlists? If so, you'll find more info on how to do that here.

If you want to arrange the songs in your playlist in your own unique way:

Desktop and the Web Player

1. Go to the playlist in question and set the sort order to Custom. Note: the Web Player's sort order is set to Custom by default and cannot be changed.
   
2. Click a song, then drag & drop it to the desired location.

Mobile (limited to Premium users only)

1. Open the playlist in question, then tap the three dots menu > Edit playlist.
2. Long-press the button on the right and drag & drop the song to the desired location.

no I mean free adjusting of songs order not just sorting and filtering

Thanks for your reply and for clarifying!

While the feature to rearrange songs is available to all user using the desktop app, keep in mind that when using the mobile app, you can only change the order if you're currently subscribed to Premium. 

Feel free to check the steps in the message above, there you'll find how to change the song order within playlists, both on mobile and on desktop.

I'm currently looking at the web player in Firefox and there is no such button that says "____ order" or that I can use to select "custom order." Under the playlist title, there is the play button, the 3-dot menu, and the "compact/list" button. The 3-dot menu doesn't have any "order" settings.

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

Apologies for any confusion caused in this thread. It's expected to not see the sorting options on the web player. The distribution you kindly mentioned is the one you can currently find on the web player. Remember that we're always testing new improvements and features to give our users a better experience.

Another user had a similar request, so they posted this idea about it. Feel free to add your vote and you can also subscribe to it in the three-dot menu, that way you can stay up-to-date with any relevant news about this.
