My Question or Issue

A few hours ago I received an takedown notification via email regarding one of my playlists. The email goes as follows:

Hello,

We have found the following content to be in violation of our content policies, and we have removed it. Please see our Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use for more information.

      (Playlist ID)

Regards,

Spotify

I do not know why my playlist has been taken down, but based on other user's posts in the community, I am assuming it is because someone has maliciously reported it. I contacted Spotify Support via live chat to find out what was going on, and I was told that they cannot give me any information, and my inquiry was then very rudely shut down before I could even ask further questions (see the attachment below of the chat). This very poor customer service and the agent should have at least pointed me in the right direction, or even said a simple 'goodbye' like most  customer serivce departments do.

I wanted to know if anyone here could help me get in contact with the correct people to resolve this issue.

Thank you in advance!

Hi there @NPK,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Sorry to hear that this has happened with your playlist and you didn't receive further information from our customer support team.

In the email that you've received from Spotify there should be instructions on what you can do next and who to contact about your playlist being taken down. The information in the email that you've received is personal and sensitive.

I know that fraudulent reporting of playlists is affecting a number of users and our teams are working on making the reporting system better, so that this doesn't happen in the future. I'd recommend you also add your +Vote and subscribe to this Idea to stay up to date with any development on the matter.

As the chat agent has said in their reply, most likely they don't have access to information on exactly why your playlist has been taken down, so the best thing to do is check the email for further steps you can follow.

Hope you find this information helpful.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately no further steps were mentioned in the email. I had put the whole email in my post. This is why I contacted customer support and have tried my luck here on the community forums.

I have been left in the dark as to what I need to do to sort this out, meanwhile, my playlist is losing followers.

Cheers.

UPDATE: I once again contacted spotify via live chat and the agent I spoke to thankfully escalated the issue to a specialist agent, who then further escalated it to the appropriate people.

Update #2 11/11/22: I still haven't heard back from anyone after contacting spotify support a few mre times. Pathetic.

Hello,
do you already have a result? I've been having the same problem for days. A certain playlist is always killed several times a day. Always at different times. it is the playlist with the most likes. I'm super annoyed that Spotify isn't doing anything about it and that it's even possible to report playlists with a simple click and they're offline immediately.
