The picture from my playlist won't change

Everytime I try to change the picture of a playlist the button 'change image' and 'save' disappear, but I can still go in my gallery and select a picture, but it doesn't get saved

The problem is only on my phone (huawei) and it affects every large playlist (5+ hours). I first noticed it 1 week ago

Thanks for the info and video. So do you mean that this issue doesn't occur on short playlists? Can you send us a video of that too please? In the meantime, try performing a clean reinstall of the app on your phone, this can help fix a multitude of issues.

I would like to attach a video how I change a picture on one of my short playlists but it's to big and even if I compromise it, it's still above 5 MB, but the playlist was 53 min long and it did let me change the picture just fine. The problem didn't fix itself after I reinstalled the app.

If you have a very large playlist (22 hours+ of music is enough on average for the bug to happen) with a large number of unique musics (didn't tested without being unique) the Android app don't let you upload a custom photo to the playlist.

I tested creating a playlist with 35 hours and 34 songs and it worked well, but I couldn't update the picture of my 35 hours and 530 songs playlist.

I believe that the bug is something related to the loading of all the music data of the musics on the playlist while on the edition page without the use of a pagination or anything similar. Then the image is unable to be saved on the variable (the bug happens on the front-end, before saving it on the back-end of Spotify).

System info:

Samsung S20+, One UI 5.0, Android 13. (Also tested on a Redmi 7, dunno the other specs).
Spotify App:
Version 8.8.28.509
Hard reinstall done (deleting com.spotify.music from Android/data and everything).

Didn't had an iOS to test, desktop app working fine, probably web app too.

I've done a clean reinstall and tried all the ways that y'all have suggested to fix this problem. I even tried copying my main playlist and it still wont let me.

We've made some changes backstage and this should be fixed now!
If it still doesn't work for you, please take a look if there aren't any pending Spotify app updates.

Hi, when I try to upload a playlist picture it doesn't let me. I have tried with any type of size, format, picture, device, tried clearing cache, tried uninstalling and do a clean install. It still does not allow me to.

Hi there!

Could you let us know what device this occurs on and the exact version of Spotify you're running? As @Vasil mentioned, it's worth checking if there are any updates available for the app.

In the meantime, you can try changing the playlist cover via another device or through the Web Player instead to see if that does the trick.

Hi, my device is IOs iphone 12 and i can’t change or place playlist pictures and i checked if I had any updates but nothing i even deleted spotify and downloaded it again but nothing.
