Transfer playlist ownership including followers

My Question or Issue

I play in the local orchestra and have made a playlist, with music that we play, a while ago. Almost everybody is following this playlist, but recently, I have decided to leave the orchestra and want to transfer the ownership of this playlist including the followers to someone else's account. Is this possible?

Is it still not possible to transfer ownership of a playlist to another account and retain those followers? I can see you can add collaborators to a playlist but not let them change the cover art, name, or remove the original creator of the playlist.

Thanks for posting here and welcome.

We can confirm this is not possible within the app. A workaround might be for the person who wants to own the playlist (whether it is collaborative or a regular one) to create a copy by using the Add to other playlist option within the playlist three-dot menu. Then, they can select the New playlist option. Nonetheless, this process does not transfer any followers.

If you want to, you can submit a new idea in which you describe how you'd like to have the option to transfer ownership of a playlist. Take into account, it’s better if you describe with as many details as possible what you want to see implemented on the app. Don't forget to check for existing ideas first and to follow our Idea Exchange Guidelines.
