Turn off play queue iPhone iOS 9.3

Turn off play queue iPhone iOS 9.3

I don’t know how to turn off Play Queue. It used to be that if I was playing an album or playlist, when one song ended, the next would begin. Now when one song ends, whatever song is next in the cue plays instead. This only started recently on my phone, but not my iPad.

Now, I know someone will say I have to update the app, but this problem only just started, and I can’t update the app on my phone (long story). The Queue Help page refers to an icon that I don’t see on my screen.
so, how do I turn off play from queue and instead listen to the next song in my playlist/album?

thanks.

Hi there @Kate512,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from our end?

It would also be great if you can let us know which version of the app you're having.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

Thank you for your speedy answer. It is version 8.4.28.1104

I’m sorry, but I don’t know what you mean about a screen recording.

Hey there @Kate512,

Thanks for your response.

By a screen recording we meant a short video of the situation (maybe you could shoot it with another device, or use a screen recording app), so we can take a closer look at what exactly happens on your end. You can send a link to it or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

In the meantime, we can also suggest to log out and then to log back in, in the app twice in a row, as this triggers a refresh between the app and your account and may help to resolve any possible cache-related issues. See if this makes any difference for the play behavior of the app.

We also understand that you're using and older version of Spotify for some reason. We'd like you to know that Spotify does not recommend nor support using older versions of the app, as they are considered unstable and obsolete, especially after a newer versions are out. Our aim is that Spotify gets better with every update and here you can find more info on how to update Spotify on your device.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
