Undownloading my liked songs breaks my desktop spotify.

Hi, my Liked Songs is huge and has over 9,000 songs. I’ve had it downloaded on my pc for a while and i want to undownload it now. But whenever i try to it crashes my spotify and gives me the app isnt responding error. Please help i want to clear space on my pc.

In this case, we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app on your PC following these specific steps. This process will remove all your downloaded content.

Alright i will try it out but before i do that. I have a large collection of Local Files will this reinstall mess with all of them or will i be able to redownload all of them just fine?

The clean reinstall shouldn't affect your Local files. You'd just need to sync them again afterwards by following these steps.
