My Question or Issue
So the genre headings at the top of my liked songs are now pretty useless. They were working great as soon as the feature was implemented. I could click on one, hit shuffle and songs from that genre would play on shuffle. Or even play through the list from top to bottom if not on shuffle but would only be genre specific.
Now when I click on a genre, it doesn't play songs within that genre. Just seems like it's going through every song in my liked songs.
I have clean uninstalled/reinstalled several times. Updated my phone thinking that could be the issue but no luck. I have also cleared cache and cleaned out storage despite the facy I have more than enough free space. I have tried on another device (Samsung Tablet but unsure of type). My Spotify version is 8.7.28.1217 on both devices.
I was really loving this new feature so it would be appreciated if someone van help me get this restored. Thanks!

This feature is currently being tested and that's why its functionality may vary.

This is still an ongoing issue for me. I want to play a specific genre within my liked songs list and it just plays any song from my list. I have Uninstalled the app, reinstalled, updated my phone and the issue persists.
I have the same issue. I also cannot switch to genre if I pause a song, the paused song will keep playing. Maybe a stop button would help this problem.
I am currently having this issue as well, which is quite frustrating as this feature has worked in the past ( as well as it could have considering spotify's sometimes nonsensical genre classification )
I’m having this issue, too. I’ve checked for app updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, even checked the settings within my app. I’m not sure what’s going on.
