Why are the songs in one of my Spotify playlists in the wrong order?

Solved!

Why are the songs in one of my Spotify playlists in the wrong order?

United States of America

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5

My Question or Issue

One of my playlists seems to be out of order. I want it to show my recently added songs at the top, but it shows a super old/random list of songs at the top when I filter it by "recently added". When I sort it by custom, it's in the correct order but my most recent songs are still at the bottom. I have uninstalled the app, logged out, logged back in, updated the app, and restarted my phone and it hasn't fixed yet. It only started happening after I got a new phone recently, my old phone was a Samsung Galaxy S8 and my new phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The playlist is over roughly 60 hours long and it's my longest playlist if that makes a difference. It's the only playlist that is doing this and when I go on my computer (windows 10) to view the playlist it filters correctly. I listen to this playlist the most. I'm not sure why it's doing this.

Celias Dream by Slowdrive should've been at the top when I filter it by recently added or Date added on mobile.

BUT I went to check it again this morning and it's in the right order. I think I needed to tap the "recently added" filter twice instead of once for it to work, I now realize the app shows a downward arrow and an upward arrow when you tap the filter setting multiple times. I think the app updated or when I got my new phone and downloaded spotify again, I didn't realize the filter had the ability to be tapped twice to change the direction of the order of the songs.

Sorry for any inconvenience, I was just confused. Thank you guys for communicating with me about it though and trying to help !

Hi @soundkeyboard,

Thank you for posting on the Community.

To fully review the playlist you're having issues with, please send us the URI code so we can take a look at it.

Also, share with us a screenshot showing the sorting options you've selected on your mobile and desktop app.

Lastly, let us know if any of your other playlists has issues with the sorting settings, or if it only happens with your main one.

Keep us posted.

The photo with the red x shows how my playlist looks on mobile when I set it to "recently added", and that is the wrong order. The other photo with the yellow star shows how it is set to recently added on mobile. Then I attached a screenshot on my desktop showing what the playlist is suppose to look like.

None of my other playlists seem to be having sorting issues except this one. Thank you for replying.

Hey @soundkeyboard,

Thanks for the post.

We opened the playlist both on mobile and desktop and we're seeing the same order, with Beach Bummer at the top. Is this the correct order that you're seeing on desktop?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
