Why do my playlists have the same songs twice ? Is it a glitch ?

I’ve been noticing that my playlist have good longer but it’s because the entire playlist is duplicated.. writhing the same playlist. Very annoying. I’ve tried deleting the duplicates but it deletes the actual song . I have the latest version of Spotify and an iPhone 14. Please help

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The distributors sometimes upload a newer version of a song, which is not a different song as far as the app can see. So removing one of them removes both of them, but you can add one of them to the playlist again.

I think spotify recognising the reuploaded version as different song is just stupid/buggy/incompetence. I have dozens or maybe hundred of songs that dont show as liked i check the artist and i liked it before, if i like the song that appears as not liked i have the song liked twice. Tell me if you think that make sense or if you think thats a good experience. From the moment the artist reuploads the same song(!), spotify should recognize it as already liked period.
