Why does Spotify like to have me listen to a different version of a song?

When I try to play a few particular songs from my library, Spotify has me listen to the song off a different album. Very annoying. At first I thought it was just an album art error, but the song on the other album started showing up higher in my most played than the one I was originally listening to. Minor problem but annoying to me

Hey I got similar annoyance too. Sometimes it put remixes, covers or instrumental version of the song I like. How to tell the machine learning to not put those versions in my playlist?

We think these are great ideas too! That's why we'd suggest adding your vote in the thumbs up icon and subscribing to them in the three-dot menu. That way you can stay up-to-date with any relevant news about these. Even though the status in one of them is set as Case Closed, it doesn't mean the idea has been rejected.
