My Question or Issue

I have a long playlist of over 75 songs. Spotify inserts random songs when playing my playlist. I understand this can happen with the free account, but I am paying for Spotify Premium and I can find no way to turn this off.  After spending hours searching online, it appears this should not be happening with a premium account. And, there is supposed to be a setting to turn-off autoplay of suggested songs but I cannot find a place to turn it off.  Any assistance would be appreciated before I go back to Amazon Music.

Hi there @e3lf6bcu3dns78byufyp,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

This could be happening due to a number of factors. Please check the following:

  • Make sure your Play Queue is cleared before playing music. You can clear it by clicking the Queue button > Clear queue. This option should be available on Desktop and Mobile.
  • Make sure that Enhance is switched off. This button will appear on top of your playlist. If it's turned on (green) it will automatically add similar songs to your playlist.
  • Make sure Shuffle and Smart Shuffle is turned off.

Hope this helps.

I don't see the option to clear the play queue.  There is no queue button that I can find.

I also do not see the enhance button.

Smart shuffle is turned off.

Hey thee @e3lf6bcu3dns78byufyp,

Thanks for the reply.

You can access the queue from the Now Playing View like showed here:

Let us know if that worked for you.

Thanks for sending the picture, but there is no "clear queue" as shown in your picture.  Maybe it is because I have an android phone.  All I have is "Now Playing" and "Next From".  There is no "Next in Queue" as shown in the picture.

Hey @e3lf6bcu3dns78byufyp,

Could you send us a screenshot of how your queue looks like on your end? These screenshots are from an Android as well 🙂
And, by the way, does the described behaviour occur only with one playlist or across all of them?
Note: The Autoplay setting can be found under Settings -> Playback.

We'll be on the lookout for your response!
