artist i've never heard of played 37 songs in my recent listening

My Question or Issue

An artist I've never heard of showed up in my Recent Listening, showing I listened to 37 songs of his. It's going to ruin my algorithm and I'm really upset about it. The artist is Hank Williams, a verified artist and country singer? I 've never heard of him, much less went out of my way to listen to his music, and I don't leave my Spotify to play idly so it wasn't a random radio suggestion. It says specifically the artist is what I listened to, so it wasn't a radio suggestion or playlist suggestion. I'm very frustrate, as I don't like the genre and he's showing up as one of my top artists this month and without being able to remove it manually, my algorithm is going to be ruined.

I understand how frustrating this could be. If you are the only one having access to your account, could you please check your account connections? You can find them here.

If none of the connected services seem suspicious, you should reset the password of your Spotify account just in case someone else has access to your account. If that is the case, they could be streaming the content and thus affecting your listening activity.
