Just like the title says, I'm currently unable to remove songs from my release radar and discover weekly playlists. The small "-" button that I would normally use for this just doesn't exist anymore. This issue exists on my PC, phone and on the web application, so I'm starting to think that this is not only limited to my account, anybody else got the same issue?
(all apps are on the newest version)
Hello, im using an iphone 6 (running iOs 12.6.6 i think) and i dont get updates. Im using 8.7.4.1352 update, i did not saw any dislike named button. Maybe it does not exist on this update or its an only premium thing. But if you're talking about the remove button, its in the three dot button. About the computer im using windows 10 and my spotify does get updated frequently and a dislike button did not exist but the remove is still there for me.
Hope it was about the remove button cause i don't remember an dislike button ':l
It has now also disappeared in Discover Weekly for me. I thought the whole point of these playlists is that you're able to "train" them over time to get better suggestions...
I mean the "don't like this song or artist" button. You press it and the song gets hidden and wont be played in the playlist.
Oh that one! I was meaning that button when i said remove. And those two do the same thing, somebody asked it once here and if im not wrong an moderator said they are basically the same.
I don't have a remove button in Discovery Weekly and Release Radar playlists.
My Question or Issue
Hi, I’d like to report on the recent change Spotify has made. When I go to the section to edit my own playlists, it only gives me the option to remove songs, and it doesn’t let me hear the previews of any songs. Adding to that, it also doesn’t let me see the album cover of the songs, which makes the process of cleaning out and organizing my playlists much more frustrating. Being able to hear the preview and see the album cover makes it so much easier to recognize my songs.
Another issue I’ve discovered is not being able to open ANY playlists that aren’t my own, I can’t even open my custom made playlists (ex: On repeat) which were supposedly made for me, but what’s the point of making the playlist for me if I can’t even open it up to see the songs on it? These changes honestly make no sense to me.
Please consider looking into this and bringing back the song previews!
Same here, it's gone on both Desktop and Android for around two weeks now... Makes my Release Radar kinds useless since there are always a couple of songs on there I simply hate and want to hide.
(And funnily enough, the last couple of weeks there have been an increasing amount of songs in my Release Radar that are so far away from my actual tastes and followed artists... is this some shady marketing to push people to listen to certain songs? Kinda sus.)
@Spotify: Just bring it back already... can't be that hard for the development team if you are using a proper version control system, which i'm pretty sure you are using.

Hide button disappeared for me also. The whole "release radar" and "mix of the week" playlists are rendered useless without this feature, since 90% of the suggestions are regularly (and increasingly so) garbage, and I tend to filter them by iteratively hiding the bad ones until only the ones I like remain.
Same issue here as well. Windows 10.
Unless spotify has magically stopped bad actors from hijacking other artists pages, posting generic muzak, and filling my discover weekly and release radar with garbage, it's unacceptable to remove this feature.
I'm having the same issue with missing Hide button :c
OS: Windows 10
Spotify version: 1.199.878.0 installed from Microsoft Store.
Spotify in browser is also having the same issue - I'm using Firefox version: 107.0
On my phone Google Pixel 7 I'm able to see Hide Song button after clicking three dots, but it looks like it doesn't sync with my PC.
I'm pretty sure on my other PC with Windows 11 the problem also exists.
Hey folks,
We've checked with the relevant team and they've confirmed that this is part of a test they're currently running. We can't say when it will be over, but rest assured, your feedback is being forwarded to them.
Cheers!
Don't you have the 'stage' environment for testing on the real users' data?
So you remove features as a test? What are you testing? How bad you can make the user experience before people get upset? It has been 2 weeks, FFS. Give us the option to remove songs we don't like. Forward that to the relevant team.
On Android version 8.7.86.422 it's possible to hide unwanted songs, but it will not sync with the web version. There is the option removed. very disappointed.
I want to hide songs on my PC. iPhone can do it. Please make it a common specification.
Oh gosh, I miss that feature, please put it back or make it so we can enable it again in the preferences tab...
Passed 3 weeks.
Were I hired, I would fix this in no time.
FIXED.
