Hello peops,
i am wondering:
when i download any albums on my mobile (especially audio books for long roadtrips!) they are added automatically to my favourite songs/albums.
i don't want this!
i want to listen occasionally to my "playlist" favourite songs; and now, there are snippets from all the audio books, which is disturbing my very good music taste and my listen experience.
the same goes with marking albums as favourite album: now, all songs from the album also appearing in my "favourite songs", which is not 100% correct, because i like the album, but not every song on it.
maybe i am old fashioned, i don't listen to "singles" all the time, i tend to listen to full albums (yes! i am THIS old! 😉 ).
does anybody have the same issue and is bothered by this?
or am i the only one in the world??
Hey @bimmler,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
Since what you reported could be temporary errors, would you mind trying each of the following steps?
Log out and back in.
Reinstall the app.
Note: After reinstalling, you'll need to redownload any music you've made available for offline listening.
If possible, try a different internet connection.
If these suggestions don't help, would you mind sharing the song's link so we can test what happens on our end?
We'll look out for your reply and be available to help with anything else as well!
Hi @mariomorales77,
Happy new year and thanks for reaching out in the Community!
Currently, that's the intended function of downloads. When you download an album for offline use, the app automatically "hearts" it and adds it to your Liked Albums. However, here is an idea about changing this so that the albums you download aren't "hearted" automatically, which you can check out.
Even though the existing idea is marked as Closed, we’ll continue to monitor it and update its status once it reaches the required votes, so feel free to +VOTE for it and Subscribe so you won't miss out on any future updates.
Cheers!
I really don't understand why that would be the desired behavior. That is not comprehensible at all. When I download songs or albums, it has nothing to do with my "favorite songs", thats something i want to do specifically and not as a side effect of a completely different function.
I honestly don't understand why a vote is needed to remove a feature that is not logical for me as a user in any way. Why was there no voting when this was introduced in the first place?
similar issue. songs added to favourites. Pretty sure i've played them some time but never indicated they are favourites. deleted the app, logged in and out ...still happening.
Same for me - makes absolutely no sense and pollutes my favorites. Please provide an option to remove this behavior.
