how do i set my playlist to only add new songs and not duplicate

I have set up a new playlist and i do not want to duplicate any songs. how can i set it to only add new songs?

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

I'd recommend using the desktop app / Web Player for this. If you try copying the songs from one playlist to another, you'll get a warning if some of them are already in the other playlist:

You can select Add new ones to prevent the duplicate songs from being added to the playlist again.
