iTunes to Spotify Premium Migration!

Solved!

iTunes to Spotify Premium Migration!

Hi everyone,

I am a long-time user who would like to finally complete my migration to spotify from iTunes which I have on my pc.

I've accumulated a ton of songs on PC that I'd like to have on Spotify, not adding them locally but saving the equivalent of each of my songs to Spotify online. Is it possible?

This is because many of the songs I've saved don't have all the right information (artist, wrong album, even the title sometimes!) and I'd like to start storing them again by archiving them properly.

Is there an automatic way to do this without adding them one by one?

Alternatively, if I add my iTunes tracks locally are they also available on devices other than my PC?

And how can I keep the (unfortunately many) tracks that Spotify doesn't want me to listen to locally by keeping the titles "greyed out"?

Thank you very much!!!

Hey @Mijkey,

Welcome to the Spotify community and thanks for reaching out!

While there is no official Spotify tool to transfer your Library over from other music providers, you can check what other community members have suggested here.

Regarding local files - you can upload them on your PC to your library and then share them on your phone. Note that they are not playable directly on other devices like home speakers, since they need to be downloaded on the device itself. You will still be able to play them over Bluetooth 🙂 More info can be found here.

Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
