My Question or Issue

Hello. 

Today is 2024 wrapped day. I have been preparing for this for some time. You see, a few years ago I had the idea to have a ridiculous amount of time listened to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You." So I made a Spotify account with a single playlist I listened to. It currently has around 2000 songs in it, over 1000 of which are "All I Want for Christmas is You," and I played it on shuffle in the background of my computer for days on end. I used so many songs because then I could choose my second, third, fourth, and fifth most listened to songs. Second would be I'm Just Ken, third From the Start, fourth Hot To Go,  etc. I did this by putting in ~100 I'm just Kens, ~50 From the Starts, and so on to control the odds of seeing each one. The rest of the songs were a random assortment of whatever I could think of from various artists and albums. If I played the playlist enough, through the power of statistics I would see my desired distribution. I did this throughout most of 2024. 

However, to my dismay, I opened up my wrapped today to find that number one was I'm Just Ken, number two From the Start, and so on as would have been expected for my 2nd,3rd, 4th, and 5th songs. "All I Want for Christmas is You" is nowhere to be seen. It is not even in my 100 song playlist I was given of my top songs. I need to know what happened. Receiptify and Spotify Stats both list it as the number one song. I personally played the song hundreds of times, I am confident of that, and I'm Just Ken is number one with only ~500 plays. I do not know why this wouldn't work. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I know this is a stupid joke but I do genuinely want to know what possibly could have caused my by far number one most played song to be skipped entirely.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME IDEA. I listened to that song on repeat. In may i got a notification saying i listened to it over 300 times in that month. But yet it is no where to be seen on wrapped. Some how million dollar baby is my number 1 which is ridiculous. Saying i listened to it 124 times on april 24… i did not

heck yeah man. I have nothing showing up out of nowhere, but just a distinct lack of the one I am extremely confident I played the most. This is just disappointing

I have a very similar issue as well. When I really like a song I tend to listen to on repeat and I’ve had issues with songs not being placed in the on repeat playlist recently. Come to find out those same songs that had issues didn't make it to the “your top songs 2024” playlist and I believe the streams weren’t counted on my spotify wrapped towards the song or the artist. I have a backed up stats.fm account and checked statsforspotify to confirm that my wrapped was incorrect. The 2024 wrapped felt as if nearly the entire aug - nov was just neglected. This is the first year I felt like my wrapped was just completely wrong.
