My Question or Issue

Shuffle no longer works since the latest update to 1.1.58.820.g2ae50076-a.

I have tried:

  • logging out and back in
  • uninstalling & reinstalling
  • restarted
  • checked @SpotifyStatus
  • checked my OS is up to date
  • checked the web player (same result-shuffle not working anymore)

To use shuffle I either toggle the shuffle (so it is green but without the "1") and play a playlist; or play a playlist and then toggle the shuffle. Neither is changing the generated queue.

thanks

Hi there @thinkOfaNumber,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

Can you log in with a different account - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persist? This way we'll know if it's account related or not.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you provide us a screen recording so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I humbly apologise, I made a simple mistake of mixing the shuffle and repeat buttons. I will now hand in my computer access card, hang up my hat and sit in a rocking chair with a blanket on my legs for the rest of my days...

Hey @thinkOfaNumber,

Thanks for keeping us posted.

No worries - it can happen to any of us! The good news is that you can continue to enjoy your favorite tunes in shuffle (or on repeat) without trouble 😁

If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, we'll be always happy to help.

Have a good one!
