My Question or Issue

for months I've been trying to find a way to make Spotify stop randomly play what's called 'Similar content '.

don't get me wrong, I want to enjoy the feature that music keeps on playing once an album/playlist I listened to is finished. but I absolutely hate it that Spotify tries to play a radio station and streams stuff that I've never added to my library.

how can I keep this feature on (so that similar music will keep on playing once what I played is over), but the content playing would be similar content that I've saved to my library—songs from the playlists, albums, singles that I've deliberately added because I know l like them, without having Spotify intervene with my preferences and playing stuff that's indeed similar, but I don't like.

at times I'm in the mood for exploring new music, for that there's the handy explore tab. but when I listen to music, I often play an album I want to hear at that moment. I don't want Spotify to suggest me new things and only stick to similar content from my library.

Hi there @yotamik,

Thanks for your post here in the Community and welcome!

Spotify plays recommended songs after your playlists or Albums end when you have Autoplay on. The recommended content is based on what you're listening to or the content added to the playlist/album you're on. Additionally, recommended content only adds similar tracks that are not saved or added to that same playlist/album.

It's also worth mentioning that these recommendations are just suggestions and won't be permanently added to your playlist unless you add them. If you don’t like any of the tracks and want to remove them, go to the track and click on the minus sign. The song shouldn't reappear in the recommendations after this. With that being said, if you don't want those suggestions at all, we'd recommend that you toggle off your Autoplay. More info on how to do that can be found here
