My Question or Issue

This keeps happening every few months and ALWAYS when I am on a long road trip. All my downloaded songs all of a sudden are no longer available on my iphone and greyed out when not connected to the internet even though there were playing offline perfectly the day before. I have gone through all the procedures Spotify reps give you before, like reinstalling the app but it continues to happen again months later. Reading many of the other users in this community - this seems to be a reoccurring problem for years that Spotify will not fix. I am not spending another 8 hour road trip without music because this crappy glitchy app which I pay for every month decides to **bleep** out!

Hi there @Jonaudio1,

Thank you for taking the time to post here in the Community. We're sorry to hear that you're not able to play your music while being offline. Let's take a closer look into this.

Even though you reinstalled the app It seems like it might be some issues with some possible old cache files so can you confirm that you followed the steps that's provided in this article? There's some more steps to help thoroughly uninstall the app from your device, so if you haven't, we'd highly suggest it since the steps will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If you did follow the steps in the article above without any success we suggest that you contact our customer support here so that they can have a closer look backstage.

Let us know how it goes so that we can continue to assist you if you need us to 🙂

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I will contact support again as I have already completed all steps in linked articles on uninstalling and re-installing the app from my iPhone.

im not sure if this will resolve anything as I have read in this forum multiple other users who have the exact same problem with no resolution.

Hi again @Jonaudio1,

Thank you for your reply.

You can ask the customer support to remove any potential corrupt device as that should do it for you.

If you still have issues after that we're always one post away.

Take care 🙂

Setting off on my annual vacation yesterday , another long road trip

and soon as I launched Spotify on my iPhone, all songs greyed out.

i went to the storage area of my iPhone and all 15.5 GB of songs are still stored there,

it’s just the consistently buggy app that Spotify refuses to fix that customers have complained about on these forums for years.

i have performed all suggestions regarding reinstalling app, downloading all songs again but after a few months it always screws up

and usually at the worst time, right on a long road trip.
