My Question or Issue

I have a Sony Bravia TV which supports Airplay 2, and an iPhone XS Max on iOS 14.  When I use Spotify and connect to the TV via Airplay, songs do not play.  The progress bar on my phone moves, but it does not on the TV, and there is no sound.  When I Airplay Apple Music to the TV, it works fine.  Therefore, I believe it has something to do with the Spotify app.  

 

Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

 

If AirPlay isn't working for you, make sure:

  • All devices are on the same WiFi network.
  • All devices' software is up-to-date. If you don't know, check with your devices' manufacturer for how to check and update the version software.

If you’re still having trouble after those checks: 

  • Restart the Spotify app. 
  • Close any other apps you’re not using. 
  • Restart your devices. 
  • Restart your WiFi. 
  • If possible, try a different WiFi connection.
