All playlists gone on iPhone and songs from the last months gone from "songs"

All playlists gone on iPhone and songs from the last months gone from "songs"

Hey!

Yesterday all my music disappeared from spotify on my iPhone, there wasn't any updates to neither my iOS nor spotify. I only had three playlists, none of which I had made; two spanish top lists (I'm from Norway, so not something I listen to, really), and the Discover Weekly playlist.

After searching for solutions I tried reinstalling spotify on my iPhone, and today I got back none of my playlists, but some of the songs I had saved to "songs" in "my music" (which is the playlist I use most of the time). Songs I have saved to "songs" for the last few months didn't show up, which is the songs I listen to most frequently.

Using the "restore playlists" option seems to make all playlists except "songs" come back when using the spotify program on my computer (which I very rarely use for listening to music), but none of my playlists show up on my iPhone. The only songs that show up there is the same "old" songs that I saved to the "songs" playlist.

I really hope there is a fix to this, as I have saved music from back in 2009. (ps: I haven't exceeded the song limit either, I only have about 2-3000 songs saved to the various playlists + "songs").

Hey @tommyrei! Welcome to the community!

It sounds like someone is using your account. First things first, could you change your passwords and click the: 'Sign out everywhere'-button here? After that, Spotify might be able to restore your music to your account. Just shoot them a message here. Let me know how it goes!

Take care! 🙂

Same thing happened to me; same playlists appeared. This is obviously a bug or a breach of security on Spotify.

That's not cool. First things first, could you change your passwords and click the: 'Sign out everywhere'-button here? After that, Spotify might be able to restore the playlists to your account. You can reach out to them here. Let me know how you get on!

Take care! 🙂
