App has frozen "waiting"

App has frozen "waiting"

Hi there

 

my Spotify app is dark grey and says "waiting" on my ipad. It's been like this for a day I've tried deleting the app, but when I click the X and select delete it does nothing. I've rebooted my iPad, still not fixed. Any ideas?

Hey @Gdcarle

 

I've seen 2 other people post about this same issue recently. It sounds like a problem with iOS though rather than Spotify.

 

What device do you have? iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch?

Which version of iOS are you using? 

 

Try this:

 

Signing out of iTunes on your device should terminate the stuck download.


To be sure, after you've signed out, simply reboot your device before signing back in.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap on iTunes & App Store (you'll need to scroll down a ways)
  3. Tap on your current Apple ID at the top.
  4. Tap on Sign Out in the popup menu that appears.
  5. Reboot
  6. After your iPhone has restarted, Sign in to iTunes/App Store again

Then after that check to see if you can update the Spotify app in the app store.

Unfortunately the above mentioned suggestion is not effective. Problem remains.

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.5 (system indicates iOS is up to date).
