Solved!

App is closing itself if i press pause with USB-C headset in locked screen

When I listen to Spotify with my original USB-C headset and click pause on the headset in lock mode, the app simply closes after a few seconds and Spotify disappears from the lock screen. I have reinstalled it, logged out of all devices, all updates are new, I have to take the phone out of my pocket every time, unlock it and restart the app, because then it plays but there is no sound even though it is activated. How do I fix this?

Hey @ARL2,

Thanks for letting us know this has been happening!

Does the app close only with the screen off and only after it's been paused by the headset but not after a regular pause from the app/ lock screen?

As a starting troubleshooting step here we can remove the app's cached data from the device. Log out of the app and back in twice in a row after this to trigger a manual sync of all of your settings.

If this doesn't help, we can take things a step further and go for a complete clean reinstall of the app as shown here.

Note: Performing the abovementioned steps will remove your offline content temporarily. It will re-download the next time you open the app, depending on your data download settings.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted on how things go 🙂
