App is unresponsive from video in IOS

My Question or Issue

 When I am listening to Spotify on my iphone, whenever a video attempts to play (advertisement or music video), the app freezes/becomes unresponsive.  The only way to bypass this is to close the app and restart it which is frustrating because it happens frequently.  It also presents a safety issue.  For example, in the car when driving I have no problem listening to the ads that would play, but if I need to handle my phone to close the frozen/unresponsive app every single time a video of any kind attempts to play through the app it can be unsafe.

Sorry for the frustration. Please go ahead and follow these steps:

1. Try a soft reset (Power off your device, then turn it back on) 
2. If the issue continues, uninstall, then reinstall the app. Clear all app Cache.
