I try to click on the app and it closes before I can get to anything. I have tried reinstalling it, clearing my cache, restarting my phone, and pretty much everything else I could think of. This seems to be a Spotify problem, whatever it is. Any help offered would be great.

App crashes upon start.

If you can't open the Spotify app on your iOS device as it closes immediately it's possible you're experiencing an issue that we're currently investigating. Check out this Ongoing Issue and add your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE button. Make sure you follow the steps provided under Status Update as well.
It'll also be useful to Subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up to date with any relevant updates about this.

I’m having issues opening the app. When I clicked on it, it just stays on the logo and nothing happens. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, and tried troubleshooting. Please help
Same here. Stuck on Spotify logo since yesterday. Version is 8.8.6.
Apparently restarting the Iphone helped fix this issue for me.
Restarting worked for me as well but then I had the same problem a week or so later. Restarting worked again but it’s not ideal to have to do that regularly.

Since some of you have already reported that the issue gets fixed reinstalling the app, the issue may be related to some damaged cache stored on your device. Just to make sure we're on the same page, did you use the steps for a Clean reinstall mentioned in this article? This process can help get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.
If the issue persists after this, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

i uninstalled and redownloaded, restarted my phone but no luck

It's important to know, if you've reinstalled the app with the steps mentioned in this article. This is a more thorough way of reinstalling the app and solves most issues. Could you confirm that? We also need to know, if you've turned off the battery saving mode and have enabled the background refresh for the Spotify app on your device.

Same. It was working fine a few days ago but suddenly I can’t open the app at all. Tried everything also. iPhone 14 iOS version 16.3.1. It’s working fine on my iPad however
