Apple Carplay don't play the correct track from an album

Hey there,

I have the problem that Carplay don't plays the correct track from an album.

E.g.

I wan't to play an track from the album "In Symphony" from Albert Hammond.

Now I choose the Album and I get the list of the tracks.

1 It Never Rains in Southern California

2 I'm a Train

3 When I Need You

4 Give a Little Love

5 Alejate

6 To All the Girls I Loved Before

7 Estrellita

8 When You Tell Me That You Love Me / One Moment in Time (Medley)

9 Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now

10 Don't Turn Around

11 The Free Electric Band

12 The Air That I Breathe

I choose the Diplay of my Pioneer SPH-DA120 track 2 (I'm a Train) but Spotify plays track 11 (The Free Electric Band).

Everytime I choose a track I get an other track from the album.

If I use "Playlists" in Spotify an I choose a track from the playlist I get exactly the track that I choose. - It works

The problem is only noticeable If I uses the Album funktion.

Have anyone an idea thats wrong?

Additional Information:

- I use Spotify in the "offline Mode"

- All tracks I want to play a downloaded

Having the same problem. App version 7.4.0 was listing album tracks in the wrong order. Then upgraded to version 7.5.0 and listings was fixed, but albums play in random order. If I press pay on track 1 then track 4 for example will play. Also when skipping songs it doesn't go to the next correct song but will skip a few. Have reported this to @SpotifyCares so they are aware.

Likewise I have no problem with Playlists. Also, if I start an album by presing play on the phone, then all tracks play (and skip) in the correct order - the issues only occur when using CarPlay.

I downgraded the App Version to 7.4.0 .

The albums are working normal. And if I start a title carplay plays the tracks.

But I found out that some tracks in playlists are missing.

I just wanted to report that I have the exact same problem, also with version 7.5 of the app. I hope Spotify will fix this in the next update.

Here as well. I experienced the same problem in my Skoda Octavia with Columbus navigation. IPhone 7 with latest iOS.

Having the same problems in my 2017 Acadia Denali. Tracks play randomly and all messed up

Very frustrating now I can't get my total album list and tracks keep playing out of order not to mention here and there when trying to play tracks it just kicks it back to the artist screen.

Apple Music, Pandora, iHeart all working flawlessly. I love Spotify but if you can't fix the problems I'm gonna take my subscription somewhere else.

If your iPhone has a jailbreak you can install a previous version of Sotify e.g. 7.4.0 .

The the tracklist is mixed, but If you choose a track the radio plays this track. 😉

I have a 2016 Ford Focus and I play music from my phone all the time through my AUX cord for my iPhone. I recently deleted Spotify from my phone but my car seems to still play from Spotify automatically even though I don't have the app anymore. How does this happen and how can I stop it?
