Bose Soundtouch 10 connect from anywhere issue

I have recently purchased two Bose Soundtouch 10 wireless speakers which im very impressed with.  Myself and other family members regularly use the Spotify App on all our devices with these speakers.  However i have recently noticed that you can still connect to the speaker on the spotify app evan when you are away from the wifi that these speakers are setup on. On a few occasions myself and my brother in law have accidently started playing to these speakers away from home and annoying the rest of the family.  

Im not sure if its an issue i need to take up with bose or wether there is a way that we can just connect to these speakers when in the original wifi range.

Any help with this matter would be most appreciated.
