Bug: Playing a song on Spotify app makes me lose position on native app in my Audiobook on iPhone

Title says it all. I've experienced an odd issue that when I'm listening to an iTunes purchased audiobook on my iPhone (via the native app), if I switch to spotify and listen to music, it will lose my position in the audiobook.

Also worth noting that killing the native player app does not prevent it from losing my position.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue/found a solution? It's a massive pain trying to remember where I was in my audiobook.

Does the same thing happen if you play a different music player? Go download a music player, and play it and see if the audiobook location is saved.

Ah ha! Great job.

I am playing it from my Audible app and that doesn't reset the position. Thanks for the help troubleshooting my problem.
