Cabasse Akoya / Ethernet / can’t stream Spotify

My Question or Issue

I use Cabasse Akoya connected to Ethernet. Can stream Tidal without a problem. Can’t stream Spotify anymore. Reset everything. Deinstalled Cabasse controller app and Spotify app on iPhone. Deleted cache. 
Interesting wise Cabasse AKOYA is not (!) listed as a  compatible devices in Spotify Help (only Cabasse stream 1), however AKOYA appears in the Spotify app (in device menu). Connection via Bluetooth / airplay works well

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. 

 

First up, we'd recommend making sure the firmware of your device is up to date. If so, based on what you mentioned, it's possible that Spotify is no longer compatible with that specific device.  

 

On another note, it's expected behavior that you can use Bluetooth/Airplay as in those cases you're not actually using the app on the AKOYA device, you're just transmitting from the phone so that's a workaround you can use. As the device doesn't seem to be supported anymore, you won't be able to start the playback from the AKOYA device nor use Connect feature.
