Cache is still an issue

Cache is still an issue

3GB in use. Deleted all my offline playlists. 3GB in use. Restarted the app. Still 3GB being used. Waited a couple of days, normaly using spotify, nothing offline. Still 3GB in use.

I'm frequently uninstalling spotify to claim that extra space back. We're talking 3GB in a 16GB device. This is nonsense.

This has been discussed way too many times in this foruns. As a paying customer, I cannot accept that you just close these claims and do nothing about it.

Please do fix this trivial problem.

Hi @tiagoboldt

We're sorry this happened, we'll get you back up and running.

Just to check - does it keep on happening after reinstalling the app? If not, we can say this is expected since the songs don't erase after turning off the offline option for your playlists. If you'd like to get rid of that space taken, you'd have to reinstall the app each time.

Hope that helps.

Mara, you've prefectly summarized the problem: "(..) this is expected since the songs don't erase after turning off the offline option for your playlists. If you'd like to get rid of that space taken, you'd have to reinstall the app each time.".

In no way could it be acceptable that a client has to reinstall an app to get space back from an app regarding information which is no longer in use. Please get your own description to your UX team and I'm sure they will have something to say about it other than that is expected behavior.

Thanks

We understand @tiagoboldt and we'll make sure to pass on your feedback to the right folks. Hopefully, we'll have a fix soon.

Give us a shout if you need help with anything else, we'd love to help out.
