Can no longer go online

My old iPod Touch can no longer go online with Spotify.

It is a G1 and I'm running Spotify 0.4.20.155

It can't establish a secure connection to https://ap.gslb.spotify.com/ or any connection to http://ap.gslb.spotify.com/

I realise this is old software, however I cannot update the Ipod or Spotify to any later versions. It actually worked up until last week. Just wondered - have Spotify disabled their legacy service recently?

Working again. Must have been either an unreported outage https://twitter.com/spotifystatus OR something up with my network or connection.
