As of yesterday (I think my Spotify app updated yesterday), when I swipe right on a song in my Starred playlist, it no longer brings up the button to delete that song. This isn't a problem with any of my other playlists on mobile, and I can still delete songs from my Starred playlist using the Spotify computer program. This is just a problem with the Starred playlist on mobile. Help?

NAILED THE PROBLEM perfectly. Get it together Spotfiy. Please, por favor. Thank you.
I totally agrre, I'm having the same annoying issues with my account on my iPhone!
Taking screen shots now to remember to delete from the Web player, but that's not exactly smooth, to say the least.
Go to your playlist. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Select "Edit". You will notice that a red "-" appears next to each item in the list. Clikcing on any red "-" will let your delete that particular track. When you have deleted the tracks you no longer want, click "Done" in the upper right corner of the screen, and your playlist will be closed for editing with the changes you made having been committed. It's a very simple, if counterintuitive, process. Peace & good luck!

Hey everyone! @giaimo13 has posted great steps for deleting tracks in your Starred playlist after this latest iOS app update.
If you are having any technical issues deleting tracks (after a clean reinstallation) please let us know in this thread.
If you're missing the ability to delete songs with the swipe feature I recommend posting in the Ideas Board. As that idea gains kudos from other users we can provide a more accurate update about whether that idea can or will be implemented.
Thanks for all your feedback everyone!
Go to control panel then admin tools. click on My PC and type spotify into the search engine. When the spotify files appears click on the application file, then local state, then music. You will find all your songs there and can delete them as you wish.

Say you create a playlist with 2000 songs you want to listen. You listen to it using shuffle...then you find a song you want to remove from the playlist...how can I remove it from the playlist without having to scroll through 2000 songs? answer: impossible.
Before I used to star the songs I wanted to listen, if I disliked a song I would just hit unstar. Those where happy days...easy one tap to do something very simple and basic.
Then the produc manager decided to put the star/unstar inside a menu. First mistake. Now it was more difficult to do it.
Then the same produc manager, or a worst one...decided to disable and stop supporting star feature. They released the + button, but with an implementation that doesn't support properly syncronization between devices making you loose tracks you add to the library....and that without mentioning that if you happen to do it when offline....everything you do gets ignored...
3 years they took to completely destroy and make impossible to manage something as simple as how can I lsiten a playlist and remove tracks from anywhere...get rid of the ones I don't like... congrats!
I've started using Soundcloud more than Spotify because of this issue. Managing my playlist - including being able to delete songs quickly, at the swipe or unstarring of a button - is critical to the attractiveness of the app. These recent changes seem to have been designed by someone who doesn't use the app at all - who cares if the app looks cooler if it's infinitely harder to use it the way I want it? This is some Microsoft-type stuff guys, get your act together.
The three cardinal Cs of digital media today are: Convenience, Customizability, and Cheap. Not being able to easily manage my music wrecks two of those virtues. If you guys get caught up in your hype, and release shoddy product, you'll be overtaken.
Well, that's true but the main problem with the removal of the 'swipe-to-erase' feature is that you can no longer erare songs through a search or if you want to erase a song that pops up during shuffle mode. Then you would have to browse through an entire playlist to try to fidn that song, which is really, really not the way you want to do it.
There must have been alot more people wanting the 'swipe-to-erase' than people complaining about accidentally erasing songs with this feature, but still Spotify chose to remove it, which is a mystery to me.
Hi guys
To have an iPhone and not be able to swipe-delete is absolutely hopeless. As of now there is so much work to delete songs. (click three-dot icon - edit - find song - delete - exit edit mode - and repeat). Instead of just swipe + delete. I thought I just dreamed that this function was in Spotify, but as I am reading this forum, it seems it was, and is now gone. Right? That is a huge turn for the worse and user-unfriendly. If anyone know this to be different than my experience, please share. Otherwise - eagerly awaiting a fix or alteration of the app giving me (back?) the swipe-delete option in all playlists.
*/thanks*/
They could just add a "shake to restore" if you accidentally delete something, right? Like for ex in the Clear app.
I am still not able to swipe to delete songs in my starred music on my iphone app. I have the updated version of the Spotify app but it does not give me an option to delete if I swipe or even if I click the little 3 dot icon thing next to the song. Is anyone else still having this problem? I can delete from my computer but that is a little inconvienient.
I have this problem - Spotify app on iPhone, added the wrong version of a song to a playlist, and now I have no way to delete it on the app. No swiping exists, and the three dots brings up many options but to remove from the playlist is not one.
