Can't edit track info

Can't edit track info

I just recently updated the Spotify app on my phone and laptop. All of a sudden I can't update the track information for my local files. Is there still a way to do this? Thanks.

This feature is not in the new version.
Spotify plans to bring some features back, but it is currently not known if the feature you mentioned will be coming back.

The program I use to edit my local files is:

http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

After I save changes to a local file, Spotify will then update it in the app.

This does not work. I went out of my way and downloaded mp3tag, and while it updated in mp3tag, Spoitfy refuses to read it as anything other than what it originally loaded it in as, and I have music that is not being sorted properly as a result.

It is completely absurd that you would remove simple functionality from your program, and in the case of the most recent update, several simple features, and just simply say "we'll add some of them back". I don't get it. At the very least, please fix tags proplerly updating with the use of a third party program. But please understand how absurd it is that you removed a feature and are now recommending to your users that they use a separate third party program to perform an extremely basic and simple function that has no reason to not be in your application.

This still doesn't appear to be resolved.

It's surprising, to put it mildly, that the abiltity to merely edit track names is no longer permitted.
