Can't get Local Files to show on iPhone 5c?

Can't get Local Files to show on iPhone 5c?

I have Spotify pointing at several folders for local files, inc downloads and have put some music in there.

I then see my iphone in the spotify list on my Mac, and on my mac all the files show but never in my iPhone Spotify app with the same paid for Premium Account??

Does this happen via the cloud? or via a cable like itunes? I have tried both and have connected it, but still nothing.

I would like to drop my own music into my spotify (as i compose) so that i can privately have my own music on my iPhone when i am out and about?

Is this possible?

I did see the errors about the Firewall on Mac maybe blocking Spotify? but does this mean to 'allow' it, i need Spotify in the OS X list within the Firewall settings? Again I have tried both

If you have physical tracks (Local Files) that's located on your computer, you need to make sure you open the Spotify app on your PC/Mac/Linux and head to the Devices Tab AND open the app on your iPhone.
Also make sure that the computer and the phone is on the same wifi network.
If it still does not work, go to your iPhone and open a Personal Hotspot and connect your computer to the wifi network on your iPhone and all should be well!

If you need a video guide on how it works, follow this slightly outdated YouTube video (the idea is still the same though):

Thanks for the reply and video.

I have done exactly as performed in the video and selected just my "manual choose playlists to sync."

This now says pending on my Mac but nothing happening on my phone at all, and hasnt been for last day or so? All on same wifi, and firewall is unblocked?

Spotify has found and seen my iPhone as it says connected??

Help?

Do you have at least 1GB of free space on the iPhone?

Also, each Premium account has a 10,000 offline song limit, spread across 3 devices. This means each device can store 3,333 songs max for offline access. (So once you have the 4th device on available offline mode, it will kick out one of your device.)

Yes I have no other files within Spotify OFFLINE?

Also yes i have more than 1GB free for syncing

Can I just enable 1 file for syncing? instead of just one playlist? (the song is 1 hour DJ mix)

My Local Files on the Mac just still says "Pending" whereas my "starred" (files online with Spotify itself within the app) are syncing?

@paulc07 The other time I did a clean reinstallation and it fixed it for me, can you give a shot?

I guess your music cache is corrupted, kindly do a clean reinstallation following the steps below:

Click into your Spotify App -> Logout from Spotify (Spotify app Settings -> Logout) -> [If you are on premium and have songs that are on available offline, click here: https://www.spotify.com/sg-en/account/offline-devices/ and remove all devices -> Go to iPhone Settings, General, Usage and Delete the app -> Go to App Store and download the Spotify app again.
