Hi all
I've spent half a day trying to sync some mp3´s fom my laptop (windows 10) spotify app to my iPhone 6 (ios10) in vain.
If follow every possible tutorial and got no luck so far.
The tunes do show and play on the desktop app but on my phone they show as unavailable to play.

I'm having this issue as well, but I think it's because I can't get my laptop and iphone on the same access point at college.. Check thier IP addresses, the first 3 set of numbers should match, if the third set is different, it means they're on different access points, and depending on how good (or bad) your network is set up, they may not be able to revolve to see each other.
Hi @nunotomas, could you tell us what have you tried?
Generally this is a firewall issue.
Check Windows firewall or if you have a anti-virus suite running that includes a firewall, make sure to allow spotify.exe through. Under Windows Firewall there are two spotify.exe apps listed, one is checked for public networks and one for private networks. Put a check mark next to them both and click OK at the bottom.
Your local files should start syncing now.
Let me know if this helps!
Hi Bittencourt
Thank you for your reply.
I've tried that also, with a slight difference.
I just find one spotify.exe on my firewall settings. The one I got is checked both on private as public.
But in did, on advanced firewall settings it does show two spotify.exe
I'm not an expert on informatcs, but as far as I can understand the firewall issue is not the cause (I guess).
Also my antivirusfirewall settings have been shut down to check if I could work around this issue.
This music was, but is not available anymore on spotify database.
It is however in Apple Music, but since I use Spotify for about two years now, I only remotly use de Apple music app this days.
I don't know if this is a DRM issue but this precise music was bought online, so DRM is also not the cause, I guess.
I've done everthing "in the book" so far to sync the desktop app with my phone. No luck so far. I'm sure I'm missing something here and I really desire to improve my playlist with this music also.
If you have anyother suggestion, I will appreciate your effort to help here.
It's crackig my mind the fact that I can't get this music in any of my playlists so far.
Thanks in advance
Nuno
Vc chegou a tentar essas orientações?
@nunotomas, realmente muito estranho!
Mas ainda creio ser algo relacionado à rede ou a alguma inconsistência do firewall.
Procurando num outro tópico a respeito desse tema por aqui, achei essa resposta de um usuário, que talvez possa ser útil pra vc:
For me, I added all the songs I wanted from my "Local Files" playlist on my MacBook on Spotify to their own playlist and made it available offline to my computer. Then I found the playlist on my phone but it wouldn't download offline to my phone. After this realization, I was able to find the directions screen that told me:
1. Connect this iPhone to the same WiFi as the computer.
2. Launch Spotify on the computer where the song is stored.
3. Mark the playlist containing this song for Offline Sync on your computer or on this iPhone.
4. Watch as your song magically appears on your iPhone.
After closely following these steps it still did not work. I even tried restarting both the phone and the computer and changing WiFi's without success. For me, what caused the songs to download to my phone was turning on Personal Hotspot on my phone from Settings and connecting my computer's WiFi to that hotspot. As soon as I opened the app, it downloaded instantly.
Espero que consiga desvender este mistério!
Outras duas possíveis soluções...
-- Update your codec pack here.
-- If you are using Windows 8.x N or KN edition, you may need to download and install the Media Feature Pack.
Hey,
I am not sure if you've already got a solution for this issue but here is what I am seeing.
I recently upgraded to latest mac OS (10.12 (16A323)) and I have the latest released Spotify app. I started seeing this same discrepancy after upgrading to the latest OS. I am not sure if this is induced because of the new OS or is it something else. I tried to delete app, reinstalled it from scratch but still nothing. I did update the firewall too but nothing changed.
i am not sure how else am I suppose to solve this issue. Please advise if anyone has found a solution.
