Can't use headphones to skip songs etc. Won't display on lock screen.

I have iPhone 7 and suddenly I couldn't skip songs, turn the volume up or down with the headphones and Spotify didn't display on my lock screen.
I'd love to get some help for this issue.
And I have iOS11.

Im having the same problem on my 6s when I updated to IOS 11 it stopped letting me control it the volume or musicfrom the lock screen and in my vehicle.

If you have iPhone 7, hold volume down button and lock the screen button at the same time and it will restart your iPhone. Worked for me. If you have iPhone 6/6s press home button and screen lock button.
