My Question or Issue

Hi there,

I have my phone connected via USB to my car.

If I am listening to spotify and try to skip a track using my steering wheel or dash button, iOS launches apple music. This is a bug with the last release to allow this functionality being 8.4.78.513 before it stopped working.

Are there any plans to fix this bug?

Hope you're doing great!

Could you try updating to iOS 15.3.1?

If you are not using Apple Music try deleting the app and see it makes any difference?

Also, have you tried setting Spotify as your "default" music player? If you haven't, try asking Siri to play music and select Spotify from the list of apps it will offer.

When i got my new car i had the same issue i couldn't understand what is the problem it was fine when i was using in my old car and i was curious to know about that.

Already had Spotify as the fault app but deleting apple music completely seemed to do the trick!
