Apple CarPlay is extremely buggy with Spotify. I only seem to have problems with Spotify and not other CarPlay apps that I use. Does Spotify have any plans to fix this?

Spotify rarely works when I first start it up. The app won't load properly or it just plays nothing. Sometimes when I manually start a song from my phone it plays at double speed and it sounds like I am listening to the chipmunks. Other times the Spotify app tells me to login before I can use it. This is very frustrating and I am currently considering moving to another music service because of these issues.

I am using an iPhone 6+ with my 2016 Honda Civic.

Yes Spotify has a lot of bugs with CarPlay. I use it everyday, and I moved to Apple Music, because Spotify has no plans to fix their bad integration with CarPlay.

Just wondered why my premium spotify plays in car as long as i dont plug the cable in?? I have an ipad and as soon as i plug it in it says error, no songs! As soon as i unplug it It plays music! I want it to play through our car stereo. My husbands plays through stereo but he doesnt use spotify.

What you are describing sounds like iPod support which will only play tracks from Apple Music. My post is specifically referring to Apple CarPlay which puts a Spotify interface on my car infotainment system. It works great with all apps besides Spotify. Your car stereo has to be built to support Apple CarPlay. It is found on cars made after 2016 and it is only supported by certain manufacturers.
