Carplay request issues in 2024

Adding a song to queue or telling Siri to play a song next with CarPlay it does not work! Whenever I tell Siri to add a song to the Spotify Queue (on CarPlay) it never works - instead it just switches my current song to the song I requested to play next and exits me from my playlist.

To fix the issue with Siri not adding songs to the queue in CarPlay with Spotify:

1. Update both iOS and Spotify to the latest versions.
2. Reboot your iPhone and reconnect CarPlay by disconnecting and reconnecting the cable or Bluetooth.
3. Try specific Siri commands like "Hey Siri, add [song] to the queue" or "play [song] next."
4. Test with other apps (e.g., Apple Music) to see if the issue is specific to Spotify.
5. Reset Siri settings: Disable and re-enable Siri in Settings > Siri & Search.

Although it's not currently possible to ask Siri to specifically add tracks to the queue on Spotify, there's a bunch of other actions that you can ask Siri to do. Check them out here if you haven't already.

We always strive to improve and offer better functions to our users and if you think that there would be more people that would like the same function, you can go ahead and submit an Idea. Others can then vote for it in order to show their support. The more votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.
