Certain songs not playing correctly

Certain songs not playing correctly

There's is one particular album I listen to that when played with headphones on sounds fine, but played through speakers or through my phone, the audio quality of the vocals basically disappears, where it's almost impossible to hear the singer and he is distorted. Anyone else have this type of problem know how to solve it?

Hi @gelloattack513,

does it only happen to this particular album? Is it a local file?

Do you connect your mobile to the speakers or are you talking about your desktop app (when playing through speakers) ?

It's only one particular album, the album is saved so I can try un saving it and re saving it. I connect my mobile to the speakers it is a blue tooth speaker

Good, let me know if this works!

Hmm now only a few of the songs on the album sound right but most are very distorted, if you want to see if the album is working for you, it's the Album "Candymaker" by Aunt Martha, the easiest song to hear the distortion on is neighbors song and no excuses

It's also happening to my iPhone! That's really weird. On my desktop app the songs play just fine, but it's quite distorced on the mobile app. It's not the equalizer, I've checked.

My suggestion is for you to report it here

Just click on Report broken song -- I still need help.

If you want me to I can do it for you.

I know this is an ancient post, but just had to add that this was always a problem for me to with this specific album! I got a new phone and had to re-download all my saved playlists, some of which include Neighbor Song off this album--and the problem is still there! Such a bummer, as it's an excellent song. I think this may be a band problem, though--the same song on YouTube does the exact same thing. 😕

Hi!

I know this was an auto reply (which is obviously fine--totally makes sense), but let me just clarify. What I'm actually saying is that this is *not* a Spotify issue. It's an issue with the file from the artist or publisher, which you can tell since the song has the exact same problem when played on YouTube. So here's my question: if we report a song, what happens? Does Spotify contact the artist and/or publisher? If so, great. But if not, it would be good to know. I have *jusssst enough* free time at the moment that I may just reach out to the band myself at the moment. I'd love to be able to listen to the album on my speakers and not just my headphones.

Thanks!
