Constantly switching to Spotify-generated playlists

Constantly switching to Spotify-generated playlists

No matter what playlist I am trying to play...after 1-3 songs it will automatically switch to a Spotify-generated playlist like 'Top Hits', 'Walk In Like You Own The Place', 'Afternoon Drive' and dozens of others. It is obnoxious having to take my phone out and switch it back to my desired playlist every 5 minutes.

Have you tried reinstalling the app?

Are you a free user? Premium users can listen to anysong at anytime without shuffle play mode.

I'm having the same problem. I've never had this problem until the update on March 12th, and I've never paid for premium either. It's particularly difficult when I'm around children, since I use it a lot with my profession. I'm constantly having to monitor that Spotify doesn't change my music to some random playlist like "Top 40 Hits," that's riddled with cussing and innuendos. It would be great if Spotify could not do that, or fix this ridiculous problem. I've been a long and loyal customer, but if this can't be changed, I will have to find a different music provider that will give me good options for a decent price/free.

Matt, I have uninstalled and re-installed twice now and the same thing is still happening.  I'm beginning to think that this is actually by design and not a bug?  I just want someone from Spotify to say that it is so I can stop banging my head against the wall trying to figure out wth is going on.  With this change, the Free version is pretty much unusable.

808 do you have an iphone 4? It doesn't seem to be a widespread issue so maybe it is just us with our super owl models

No I have a new iPhone 6

Hi @Drummerz  . Welcome to the community @Hannahh7741 @808StateOfMind !

We believe this should be fixed now. Are you still having the issue?

If yes, would you mind trying to reinstall at least twice and see if this fixes it?

Let me know what happens and I'll chase this up for you.
