Control of speaker volume not working anymore to Sony Bravia tv + av reciever

My Question or Issue

I can no longer control the volume via my iPhone when hooked up via Spotify connect to my TV . I used to be able to set the volume on the av reciever and sit outside and control the volume from my iPhone. I can only control volume now via the receiver so something has changed.  Please help

We really appreciate the time you took to report this to us. The ability to control volume through the Connect feature can depend on the devices and the app versions installed on them.

So, in this case, we'd recommend keeping the Spotify app and the OS of your devices up to date. We'd also recommend checking the permissions on both devices so you can make sure any local settings are blocking the ability to control the volume.
