Controlling iPad volume from iPhone using Spotify Connect

Controlling iPad volume from iPhone using Spotify Connect

Hi,

Could someone please let me know if you can control the VOLUME from an iPhone when playing back using spotify connect using an iPad?

I am getting mixed messages from support and no one has yet to convince me that you can change the volume on an iPad using an iPhone.

I can play, pause and skip tracks from my phone - but using the iPhone native volume control has no effect on the iPad's volume. This is strange, as doing the same thing when running spotify on my Macbook will change the volume levels.

Hardware details:

iPhone 5S

iPad Mini Retina

All up to date with the latest iOS and Spotify updates.

I actually am not convinced that you can control the volume on an iPad from an iPhone, since the iPad only controls spotify volume from it's native volume control and doesn't have a built in volume control in the app (like you do on the Mac OS app) - this seems to be a bit of an oversight?

From my lengthy usage of Spotify Connect between iPhone, iPad, desktop and a Connect speaker you can not control the volume of a remote iOS device (and I don't think Apple would allow you to).

Yup, i've come to the same conclusion. Unless they build in a seperate in app volume control like the Mac app.

You can remote control the iPad from your iPhone using an app called Tango. the problem is you would have to flick between the tango app and Spotify. I suppose my point is that if Tango can do it, why can't spotify?!

Is there any f*ckn answer or a solution for your stupity? where the hell volume control? I hope, soon there is an another platform and I can get rid of you ASAP!

Try to keep it polite.

What volume control are you talking about?

Lovely SteveCabler,
First of all, there were tons of polite messages to Spotify. You don't know anything about that and you don't know what I had to accomplish some ugly issues about my music experiences.

There was not an answer for those polite messages. and today we have to search a solution to serve good music experience here, again. after months we are still waiting. Not just for that, for other strange things about apps too.

secondly, always someone come out and try to teach humanity on like this situations. Thank you for that, I really feel good when I see it EXCEPT a formal answer for the main, big question.

BTW you can stop to tell 3rd party solutions for the problem because you pay for the Spotify service and you don't have to wait for a simple need, for a normal functionality. Your right it is.

and, THE Volume Control. but please ignore my rude message.

This is a forum, suggestions are posted, for free by people who don't work
for Spotify.

throwing a tantrum won't get respect or results.

Thank you,
this is Spotify Forum. According to domain, this is brand's platform. off course it is free it has to be free because "brand forum" nature.

sorry for the bothering SteveCabler please ignore this.

I would love this feature, pretty much the only thing preventing me from switching from Apple Music.
