Country settings

I have been having some issues. I live in Portugal, and I didn't change country nor go on holidays. But for about a week I haven't been able to log in my account as it says that I was only aloud to use Spotify for 14 days abroad. I looked on how to fix it, and it says to change the country and select the new one... But the one on the settings is Portugal (and there are no other options possible) .. Any idea how to fix it?

Hey @Dianasousa,

 

Most of those problems come from a difference between the country shown by the IP address, and the one in your profile.

 

First, check your IP address here.

After that, compare it to the country shown in your profile.
 
If you opened your account with Facebook, your country is tied to the country shown in your Facebook account, so you may need to change it there.
 
Finally, your payment method (if you used one for Premium) must match your country too, so you may need to delete it to update countries.
 
Change your country setting so it matches what your IP address shows.

Hi, I'm having the same issue.

 

I'm brazilian, keep my country in Spotify as Brazil and use my brazilian Credit Card to pay for my premium account.  However, starting today, I can't use Spotify on my iphone (which is from the USA).  

I already changed my city in Facebook to show only the brazilian one, but it's still not working.

What else should I do?

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.

 

After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your iphone, and be sure to use that username, instead of anything else, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.
